« Alain Fouray réalise une série d’images de robots/jouets japonais des années 50/60, tour à tour étranges, familières et ludiques. Ayant choisi de les mettre en scène comme de vraies sculptures, il recourt à un protocole scénographique précis et récurrent, fond noir, lumière rasante, pour mieux révéler leur richesse plastique et la part de mystère dont ils sont chargés. Ces créations, intemporelles et mythologiques, mécaniques et futuristes, nous renvoient à ce face à face entre l’homme et son avenir. Il rend ainsi hommage aux artistes qui les ont conçus et à l’exceptionnelle collection de David et Robin Corcos. »

“Alain Fouray creates a series of images of Japanese robots / toys from the 50s / 60s, which are in turn strange, familiar and playful. Having chosen to stage them like real sculptures, he resorts to a precise and recurring scenographic protocol, black background, grazing light, to better reveal their plastic richness and the part of mystery with which they are charged. These creations, timeless and mythological, mechanical and futuristic, send us back to this face to face between man and his future. It thus pays tribute to the artists who designed them and to the exceptional collection of David and Robin Corcos. «
