ALAIN FOURAY
photographe et directeur artistique, est né à Rouen en 1952, il vit à Paris.
Ses photographies sont aujourd’hui présentées par de nombreuses métropoles, institutions et lieux d’exposition, tant en France, qu’en Chine, à Hongkong, au Luxembourg…
Il expose son travail depuis 1977 et est l’auteur de six livres de photographies, dont « PANACHE » lauréat du livre de photographies à la « Nuit du livre 2015 ».
Passionné par la photographie, il exerce très tôt pour la publicité, l’architecture et les grands travaux, avant de se recentrer sur ses propres recherches, le graphisme et la photographie.
En 1989, il crée avec son épouse Béatrice, l’agence « Avant Garde » dédiée à la communication institutionnelle pour les secteurs de la culture et de la santé. Reconnue pour sa créativité, l’agence a notamment comptée parmi ses références, le ministère de la culture, le Centre national des Arts plastiques, la RMN, Hachette, la Cité des sciences et de l’industrie, l’Institut Pasteur…
Directeur artistique d’une galerie–photothèque, Bulloz à Paris, il y organise des expositions thématiques et des rétrospectives (Pierre Jahan, René Jacques…).
En 2010, il crée avec son épouse Béatrice, IN-FINITUM, structure développant un concept d’expositions photo-pédagogiques ou l’image joue un rôle essentiel pour interpeller le public sur des sujets d’intérêt général, tels le recyclage, les végétaux locaux et de saison… Pour exemple les expositions et livres « Changez le climat dans votre assiette » et RE-CYCLAGES.
Aujourd’hui sa pratique artistique tisse un dialogue sur la représentation, entre visible et invisible, comme en témoigne ses photographies et livres.
Alain Fouray photographer and artistic director, was born in Rouen in 1952, he lives in Paris.

Recognized for its creativity, the agency has notably counted among its references, the Ministry of Culture, the National Center of Plastic Arts, the RMN, Hachette, the City of Science and Industry, the Pasteur Institute…
Artistic director of a gallery / photo library, Bulloz in Paris, he organizes thematic exhibitions and retrospectives (Pierre Jahan, René Jacques, etc.).
